Horse Riding Chile provides good administration arranged for you in either English or Spanish by sympathetic people with a total investment in making your trip a happy and successful experience. Sometimes when travelling abroad trying to reserve a trip can be spoiled by language difficulties when reserving a trip, or bad information and inefficiency. This does not happen at Horse Riding Chile. See comments below, all taken from TripAdvisor reviews.
Ellen gave us very easy directions on the tube and Tito the driver met us at the station. Harry then met us at the horseriding venue. We had not realized how close we were to the winery, Concha y Toro and Harry organised with Tito to take us there after our horseride (we were prepared to make it a little shorter) and drop us back at the station afterwards. Tito even found out for us what time the English tour was. The horseride was absolutely amazing, the views were spectacular and we had a great time with the arriero guide, Rigo. He also took some lovely photos of us. They also catered a great vegetarian lunch for us at our request. June 5, 2014.
Scheduling was a breeze and they were able to accommodate my dietary needs (vegetarian) for lunch. Everyone I met was very pleasant and as a solo female traveler I felt safe the entire time. June 2, 2014
I had a free day while in Santiago for work and wanted to get in some riding and spend a day in nature outside the city. I took public transport out to San Jose de Maipo which was very cheap and easy with the instructions from Ellen and took a little under 2 hours…. The team took care of all the details including packing me a vegetarian lunch. May 2014
The owners Harry and Ellen catered for all our needs far beyond what we expected and the guides did the same once we were in the mountains. I will recommend this trip to anyone coming to Chile! April 2014
This is an “international” family-running business (Ellen is from Chile and her husband, Harry, from Ireland). This dual-language couple made things easier while we started arranging timetable, transportation and fee details. These people are so committed into make your horseback experience special that you feel that you´re been cared by passionate and professional hands. They have nice people working in the team. Tito was the driver who picked us up from our hotel and made our 45 min Van ride really fun with his big Chillean Soccer Fan comments on the World Cup. Victor and Ivan were our “arrieros” guides, equally kind and devoted to make your experience nice. May 2014
I called and was surprised to hear a Gringo accent on the other side. It’s really wonderful for English speakers to have this resource, as many Chileans don’t speak English. April 2014
We were very well looked after throughout from the organising of the trip, the taxi driver who picked us up from the hotel and the actual ride. April 2014
the company is a pleasure to deal with. Thank you for making such a unique experience available! March 2014
Me and my friend was really pleased with this trip. We called the same day and they fixed everything. March 2014
We took an evening ride with Horse Riding Chile, and enjoyed every second! We contacted Ellen late the night before and she kindly accommodated us, organising everything that we wanted to do. Our driver Tito picked us up in Santiago and took us to the picturesque parcela. We felt extremely safe in his hands, which is not always the case in South America, and he was a true gentleman, stopping on our way back to Santiago so we could photograph the spectacular sunset. At the parcela we met Harry, Ellen’s husband. He was extremely friendly and talked us through exactly what the trip would entail, he even gave us the history of each of the horses and a few tips to go with it! January 2014
