Edelweiss chileno, chachacoma, or perezia carthamoides
Edelweiss chileno grows all around the place where we ride and camp, El Clarillo, in the high Andes. There are also many other flowers such as ananuca (mountain lily), calendrinia of various types and clavel de campo. Rides can go there mainly in the summer season of January and February. The rest of the year we ride out by day or overnight slightly lower down but still in the mountains.
